Vonetta Flowers released from hospital after motorcade crash

VANCOUVER, B.C. (WBRC) - Alabama Olympic gold medalist Vonetta Flowers has been released from a hospital after being slightly injured during a motorcade accident at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.

It happened while Flowers and fellow Olympic gold medalist Peggy Fleming were riding in Vice President Joe Biden's motorcade. Fleming and Flowers were taken to a hospital as a precaution..

No one else was injured.

Flowers won a gold medal in the bobsled event in 2002.
