Another chance for snow

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Weather forecasters say central and north Alabama could see some snow late Sunday night and Monday morning.

The National Weather Service on Sunday afternoon issued a Winter Storm Warning for people living in and northeast of Birmingham.  Forecasters said rain could change over to snow late Sunday night and continue to fall through the early morning hours on Monday.  Up to three inches of snow could accumulate in areas along the Interstate 59 corridor northeast of Birmingham towards Gadsden.

The snow forecast comes just two days after several inches of snow fell across almost the entire state of Alabama.  Up to four inches of snow fell from south Alabama to north of Birmingham on Friday.

Most schools will be closed on Monday due to the President's Day holiday.
