BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – The Birmingham Mayor's Office Division of Youth Services and the Birmingham Public Library have announced a new way for youth to learn about the history of Birmingham. They will be presenting "Bridging the Gap-Conversation with Living History", a series of presentations by people who have directly affected the Birmingham area.
These presentations will be held at the Richard Arrington, Jr. Auditorium in the Linn-Henley Library in downtown Birmingham from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Monday in February.
Dr. Richard Arrington, Jr., Colonel Stone Johnson, Dr. Shelley Stewart and Bishop Calvin Woods will kick off the even on February 1st.
Different sets of living legends will present their stories on February 8th, February 15th and February 22nd.
