ONEONTA, AL (WBRC) - Round one goes to Blount County in its fight with the city of Warrior over a controversial tax.
On Thursday, Warrior agreed to delay collecting a police jurisdiction tax in Blount County until April 1st, instead of February 1st as previously planned.
A lot of businesses say the tax is unfair because they never even see Warrior police in their area.
Blount County asked a judge to stop the tax from being collected. The judge has scheduled a hearing on the tax dispute for March 16th.
