Alabama to allow Haitian relief donations to be deducted

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - Alabama is following the federal government by allowing taxpayers to deduct donations to Haitian relief made this year from their 2009 tax returns.
Governor Riley and State Revenue Commissioner Tim Russell announced Wednesday that any money donated for Haiti relief between January 11th and March 1st will be eligible for the deduction. Just make sure you have a receipt.
