BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham police on Wednesday identified two suspects charged with robbing a Wachovia bank branch on Tuesday.
Police, in a statement to FOX6 News, said Brandi Gray-Usher, 16, and Royal Johnson, 18, both of Birmingham, were charged with first degree robbery.
Birmingham Police said the two suspects entered Wachovia Bank located at 6th Avenue South and 24th Street at approximately 9:34 a.m. Tuesday. Police said both suspects approached the tellers and presented handguns, grabbed an undetermined amount of cash, then fled the bank on foot.
Police said officers from the South Precinct arrested the suspects a short time later in the 2700 block of 7th Avenue South.
No one was hurt.
