BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Two people were arrested Tuesday in connection with a bank robbery that happened in Birmingham earlier in the day.
Birmingham Police said the two suspects entered the Wachovia Bank located at 6th Avenue South and 24th Street at approximately 9:34 a.m. Tuesday. Police said both suspects approached the tellers and presented handguns, grabbed an undetermined amount of cash, then fled the bank on foot.
Police said officers from the South Precinct arrested the suspects a short time later in the 2700 block of 7th Avenue South.
No one was hurt.
The identity of the suspects was not immediately available.
