Woman's body found in Gadsden home

GADSDEN, AL (AP) - Police in Gadsden says foul play is suspected in the death of a 63-year-old woman whose body was found in her home.

Gadsden Police Sgt. Tom Bradley says the body of Nita Gay Denson was found after her sister earlier Monday had reported her missing.

The Gadsden Times reports that Sheriff Todd Entrekin says Denson's sister made the report with the Etowah County Sheriff's Office. He says Deputy Danny Conner and Capt. Phillip Stone went to DensonÂ's home to check her welfare.

Entrekin says Denson's body was found in a bedroom. She was believed to have been dead several days.
