Montevallo Episcopal Center burned down to clear way for new center

MONTEVALLO, AL (WBRC) – The Montevallo Fire Department got some valuable training thanks to the Montevallo Episcopal Center.

The 1940's home was burned Saturday morning to make way for a new center that will be built on the site.

The Montevallo Fire Department was able to get a very realistic and rare training opportunity during the series of burns that began at 9:00 a.m.

Windows in the building were removed and given to local artist Christy Falligant to turn into art pieces and sell for the benefit of Crisis Center Inc.
