Hearing in Montgomery to discuss "double dipping"

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - A hearing in Montgomery will be held over double dipping in the Legislature.
Six Alabama lawmakers are asking a Montgomery judge to let them keep their jobs and their seats in the Legislature. The group is challenging a rule by the State School Board that bars two year college employees from holding public office. The lawmakers say the rule is unfair and violates the constitutional rights.

The State School Board believed by stopping lawmakers from double dipping into two taxpayer salaries, it would avoid major ethical conflicts.
