Hoover dealing with $20 million shortfall

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - Declining property taxes and funding cuts from the city of and state have led to a 20-million dollar budget shortfall in Hoover's budget.

Hoover City Schools Superintendent Andy Craig met Tuesday night with the funding task force.
The group of parents, educators and business leaders is learning more about the budget shortfall to better understand the problems and help to address them.

The task force will meet again next month as a whole to share ideas and come up with cost cutting solutions to present to the school board.
