UAB working to bridge gaps in global healthcare

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – UAB has announced that it will be working with universities in South Asia and the Caribbean to provide training for global health professionals.

This programs comes from a growing need for global health professionals to lead research, prevention and care, policy initiatives.

Master of Public Health programs will be offered at the University of the West Indies in St. Augustine, Trinidad; Manipal University in Karnataka, India; and will begin at the University of Kelaniya in Columbo, Sri Lanka. A Master of Science program will begin in 2011 at Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan.
