BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A Birmingham Police officer was accidentally shot Wednesday morning after a high speed chase.
The chase started just before 10:00 a.m. in Hoover after a robbery at Wendy's restaurant.
The chase ended on Commerce Avenue in Fairfield when the suspect drove his car through a fence and into a building.
No other information is available at this time.
A call came in just after 10:30 a.m., with deputies saying a male caller reported he had been in an altercation with a man he knows and had shot and killed him.More >>
