Two people arrested in Trussville bus thefts

TRUSSVILLE, AL (WBRC) - Two people have been arrested in connection with the school buses which were stolen and damaged in Trussville.

Trussville Police said Wednesday two suspects had been arrested and charged with theft of property and criminal mischief.  Investigators did not release their names because two more suspects were being questioned and may be charged in the incident.

The buses were stolen over the weekend and discovered Tuesday heavily damaged in a wooded area off of Deerfoot Parkway. One bus had been burned.

School officials said each bus cost $75,000.
