Operation 'Silent Knight' nabs more than 100 suspects

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) - Authorities in Etowah County said they have arrested more than 100 suspects since Tuesday morning.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, in a statement Wednesday afternoon to FOX6 News, said "Operation Silent Knight," a joint operation between his department, the FBI and the U.S. Marshal Service, led to the arrest of 104 people on 125 warrants in Etowah County since Tuesday morning.

Sheriff Entrekin said the majority of warrants being served were felony narcotics and firearms crimes.  In addition, one meth lab was seized along with five firearms and large quantities of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, pills and marijuana.

Sheriff Entrekin said more arrests were expected.
