TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - An overnight wreck in the northbound lane of Interstate 20/59 near exit 79 slowed traffic to a crawl in Tuscaloosa County.
A Fed Ex truck carrying hazardous materials crashed just before midnight on Tuesday. A spokesman with Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue says it was carrying methanol and several forms of acid.
The driver was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.
Hazmat crews began cleaning the scene just after nine Wednesday morning.
