Animal cruelty arrest made in Tuscaloosa County

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in an animal cruelty case on Monday.

Deputies went to a home in Cottondale for a child abuse investigation. While there, they discovered a dozen dogs in poor condition.

Sheriff Ted Sexton says the dogs are pit bulls and pit bull mixes.

They suffered from various stages of starvation and cruelty. Some even showed signs of something much worse.
