Prosecutors ask for 6 months of jail time for Buckelew

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Federal prosecutors are asking that former Jefferson County Commissioner Mary Buckelew go to prison for six-months and pay a $30,000 fine.

Buckelew pleaded guilty to lying to a grand jury when it was investigating county bond deals. She is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday.
