Victim identified in early morning homicide

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – The Birmingham Police Department says the 55th homicide of 2009 in Birmingham happened early Monday morning.

Police say that 23-year-old Robert Tucker was found in the back yard of his residence at 4044 38th Avenue North around 1:57 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper chest.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced him dead on the scene.

This case is still under investigation.

No arrests have been made in this case.
