Governor responds to Bryce concerns

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - The governor's office has responded to concerns over the possible closure of Bryce Mental Hospital in Tuscaloosa.

Employees and families of patients came out last night to voice their opposition to shutting down the facility and opening a new hospital in Birmingham.
A statement from the governor's office and the Commissioner of Mental Health says, "This administration values the hard work and dedication of Bryce employees.  Governor riley certainly recognizes their service makes a positive difference in the lives of thousands of people each year.  That's why Bryce employees are unquestionably deserving of having their concerns addressed and considered prior to any final decision."
