Hueytown police increase patrols after string of robberies

HUEYTOWN, AL (WBRC) - Police are increasing patrols around businesses after three recent robberies in Hueytown.
     
Since Friday, two Subways and a Quizno's were robbed at gun point, all just one day apart from one another.

Two of the suspects have been caught.

Police are searching for a man in another robbery. He is caught on tape holding up the Subway on Allison Bonnet Memorial drive.

Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler says it has been quite a while since there has been an armed robbery of a business in the city. Chief Hagler says economic conditions may be to blame for the spike in the brazen crimes.
