Three sexual abuse cases dismissed against Mobile judge

MOBILE, AL (WBRC) - An Alabama judge has dismissed three cases against a former judge accused of sexual abuse.  The move comes after prosecutors announce they would not call any witnesses or produce any evidence in those cases.

The case against former Judge Herman Thomas continues in Mobile. Thomas is accused of sexually abusing prisoners.

The chief assistant District Attorney says one of the accusers in the dismissed cases was missing and the other two would only testify about whipping, not sexual abuse.

Thomas still faces fifty-two felony charges involving eleven alleged victims.
