Prayer Walk

The Birmingham Police chief along with dozens of pastors and residents in the Wylam community marched Saturday morning for peace. This is the eighth prayer walk of it's kind that has been held in various neighborhoods throughout the city.

Since the beginning of the year chief A.C. Roper reports that violent crime has dropped. The murder rate he says has dropped thirty percent since last year at this time.

Chief Roper tells FOX6 News "hundreds of people are showing up for the prayer walk, each walk is better and better, more churches are getting involved. People are coming out of their houses and it shows that these citizens are concerned about their community"
