Adult killed, children hurt in Anniston crash

ANNISTON, AL (WBRC) - An adult was killed and two children, including an infant, were hurt in a car crash Monday evening.

Anniston Police said Angela Cross, 40, was pronounced dead at the hospital and two children in the back seat, a two-year-old and a one-year-old, were injured.  The two-year-old was flown to Children's Hospital in Birmingham was critical injuries, while the infant was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The wreck happened around 5 p.m. Monday on Henry Road. Police said it appeared the driver of a Lexus lost control of the vehicle, struck another vehicle, then spun out and struck a Kia Sportage with Cross and the two children.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
