Jury recommends life in prison for Jarrell Price

ANNISTON, AL (WBRC) - A Calhoun County jury on Tuesday recommended a convicted murderer be sentenced to life in prison without parole.

The jury recommended Jarrell Price spend the rest of his life behind bars.  It made the recommendation late Tuesday afternoon.

Price was convicted of capital murder for killing Thomas Bowen during a robbery at the Sav-More Texaco convenience store on Highway 144 in Ohatchee, in 2006.  His attorneys never disputed Price fired the shots that killed Bowen and wounded the store owner, but argued during the penalty phase that Price had a rough childhood, including abuse, neglect, the death of his father, drugs used by his mother, and a poor role model.

His alleged accomplice, Bobby Jackson, has not gone on trial yet.
