Drunken Grilled Bratwurst Sub


Fresh Bratwurst

1 quart Good People Brown Ale

1 quart water

1 Valdalia or other sweet onion; coarsly chopped

1/2 cup shredded kraut

dash caraway seed

1 teaspoon olive oil

spicey brown mustard and salt and pepper to taste

Sub roll


Combine beer, water, onion, and salt in stock pot. Bring to a boil; then reduce to simmer. Simmer 20 to 30 minutes. Remove brats from liquid and grill on medium high heat until browned.Remove from heat.

Meanwhile in skillet add olive oil; heat to medium high; add caraway seeds to toast ( about a minute ). Add kraut continue to cook until heated thru.

Toast sub roll; add mustard to taste; add brat; top with kraut. Enjoy with your favorite Beer.
