Langford takes civil rights pardon further

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham's mayor is taking his offer to pardon foot soldiers in the civil rights movement one step further.

Mayor Langford now wants to pay back fines and court costs issued to demonstrators in the Civil Rights Era. Langford says fines ranged anywhere from $1 to 25¢.

According to Langford, the money will come from the city's court correction fund.
