Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

3 QT  Heavy Cream

1 QT Milk

3 C Sugar

Blend cream, milk and sugar.

Stir constantly on medium heat.

When temp reaches 100 degrees, temper 16 beaten egg yolks with small amount of cream mixture then add to pan.

Continue to stir constantly until temp reaches 190 degrees.

Remove from heat and add 8 tablespoons of pure vanilla.

Chill completely before churning the ice cream.

Churn in an electric ice cream maker until firm.
