Sesame Seared Tuna

1/4 c. black sesame seed

1/2 c. white sesame seed

4 (6 oz.) ahi tuna steaks, 1 in. thick

salt ^ freshly ground pepper

2 tbsp grapeseed or canola oil

In shallow dish, combine sesame seeds & stir to mix.  Season tuna w/ salt & pepper.  Dredge in sesame seeds, coating tuna evenly.  In a nonstick pan, warm oil until smoking.  Add tuna to pan and cook until white sesame seens start to turn golden underneath (about 1 min.)  Carefully turn over tuna & cook another minute.  Transfer tuna to cutting board & cut into 1/4 in thick slices.
