Police charge a man with murder after Monday's shooting

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham Police have arrested a man for murder, and charged two others with theft
in connection with Monday's fatal shooting in the 5400 block of Park Ave Southwest.

Brandon Mason is charged with capital murder and attempted murder. He is in Birmingham city jail with
a $50,000 dollar bond for the attempted murder warrant, and no bond for the capital murder warrant. Montague
Wilson is 19 years old and charged with theft of vehicle. Demetrius Moore is 18 years old and 
is also charged with theft of vehicle. Both are in Birmingham city jail with $20,000 dollar bonds.

Police found 20 year-old Harold Brown shot to death in a wooded area in Powderly. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported another after he
victim after police found him nearby suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, hips, and arms. He is at UAB Hospital
and is expected to recover from his injuries says Sgt. Johnny Williams of Birmingham Police.

The ordeal started yesterday afternoon when the suspect located his stolen vehicle with four others attempting to jump start it.
Shots were fired at the four individuals, striking two of them. When police arrived, the suspect surrendered to police without incident.
