Disorderly conduct case dismissed for Leisa Bunn

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A case has been dismissed for a woman accused of disorderly conduct after a Birmingham police officer shot her dog.

Leisa Bunn says an officer shot two of her dogs behind her condominium in Birmingham's Southside last June.

The dogs were not on a leash.

The judge acknowledged Bunn's arrest was improper.

Bunn's attorney says they are seeking to set a policy at the city's police department on how to handle situations like this.
