Hoover man's rape trial in deliberations

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) -- The jury is now deliberating in the case of 34-year-old Aaron Morrison. Morrison is charged with rape, sexual abuse, and impersonating a police officer.

There are two alleged victims in this case. The first alleged incident prosecutors say happened in January of 2008. In the January case, prosecutors say Morrison approached a woman as she slept and propositioned her for sex.

In the second alleged case, which allegedly happened in May of 2008, police say an Auburn woman was at a Hoover bar when prosecutors say Morrison introduced himself to her as an off duty Hoover police officer.

Prosecutors allege Morrison drove the women to another location and raped her.

Morrison said while testifying that the sex he had with the woman was consensual.

The jury will be back from lunch at 1:00 p.m.
