The Regions Scholar Athlete of the Week Award will honor both male and female high school seniors who excel in academics, athletics and student leadership.

We want applications from both male and female student athletes who exhibit excellence in the classroom, on the playing field, and within their communities.


Eligibility Requirements for Nomination

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Must be a high school senior graduating after the 2010–2011 academic year
• Must have at least a “B” grade average, 3.0 or above
• Must play in at least one of the following sports: Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Diving, Team Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, or Wrestling

Nominations are to be submitted by a High School Senior Counselor, Varsity Coach, or School Official (Principal, Assistant Principal, etc.)

There is no limit to the number of candidates that can be nominated by a single counselor, coach, or high school.

Nominations that do not have complete or valid information will not be accepted.

Information provided will be verified by the applicant’s Senior Counselor or School Official.

Students cannot be family members of Regions Bank or FOX6 employees.

Nomination forms must be submitted online on www.RegionsScholarAthleteAward.com and accompanied with a picture of the nominee.

Community Involvement: Emily teachers a youth/children's Bible study. She has volunteered to work at the Frog Festival and the annual American Red Cross blood drive sponsored by the SGA. She volunteered to help paint the elementary play ground equipment with other members of the softball team. Emily has also been involved in collecting canned food for various food banks in the area as well as collecting shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Emily spends Wednesday afternoons working as a math tutor. During volleyball season, Emily volunteered to work the ticket booth.
