SHELBY COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A study conducted at the University of Montevallo’s College of Business shows a positive outlook for Shelby County businesses in 2019.
Kirk Mancer is the CEO of Shelby County Chamber and he says that the study surveyed a couple hundred business owners to get their outlook on business this year.
“The overwhelming majority still felt as if the economy would be strong here in Shelby County they also felt as if revenues would be up they thought that expenses would be up again as well and then again over all growth would be a positive for their businesses in Shelby County,” Mancer explains.
The Shelby Chamber uses this information to figure out how they can best help businesses grow in the next year.
The biggest problem several owners are facing is finding qualified employees. This is a problem they are already working to address.
