We’re told the homeowner went to a neighbor’s house to ask for help. While doing so, the two suspects ran from the scene on foot.

“I was coming up the street and I saw someone on my porch, and at that time of the day you think someone is trying to sell you something, and normally it is," the neighbor said. "So, I doubled back and come up the street and I said, ‘OK, he will be gone when I get back.’ When I get back, I see he is on the neighbor’s porch and I actually see blood. That was something that you only see in the movies. It was a lot of blood.

“I said, ‘I don’t have anything in my house to help,’ that’s when I ran to CVS to get Band-Aids and gauze. When I came back, the street was shut down.”

Investigators say they were provided a description of the men and deputies are searching for them.

We’re also told evidence was obtained at the scene that could help lead to the identification of the offenders.
