BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - For the second time over a five-day span Jackson-Olin High School entertained a college football head coach who participated in the national championship in early January.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney visited the Birmingham school five days after University of Alabama head football coach Nick Saban stopped by the J.O. campus.
“This is unbelievable for the school, the players and the community,” said Jackson-Olin HS head coach Tim Vakakes. “D-1 football coaches know this is a place where big time players play and that J-O is just as capable as developing players like other schools in the city.”
Saban and Swinney are recruiting junior linebacker Quandarrius Robinson for the 2020 class. He has already verbally committed to Auburn, but that doesn’t stop other schools from recruiting one of the states top 2020 prospects.
