JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A man is jail after authorities say he rear-ended a Jefferson County school bus while children were getting off.
Kendall Cork was arrested Thursday.
Deputies got a call stating that a vehicle hit a school bus at the intersection of Tate Mill Road and Warrior Jasper Road. They determined the accident happened when Cork failed to yield to a stopped school bus and hit the back of it.
Deputies helped the children as they unloaded from the school bus. The bus driver stated that he was completely stopped with his warning lights activated.
No one was hurt. Another bus was brought to location to continue on with the bus route.
Cork was taken to the Jefferson County Jail. He is charged with failure to appear, driving while license revoked, passing/overtaking an unloading school bus, and failure to provide insurance.
