AATC’s Sausage Heroes
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 large red onion, sliced thin
1 lb sauerkraut
1 lb of your favorite sausage, sliced thick
1 12 oz beer [Notes: Lager] 1/2 cup spicy mustard
6 hoagie buns
Heat oil in skillet, add onions. Cook for about 5 minutes until tender. Set aside. Add sausage to skillet and brown. Stir in sauerkraut, beer, mustard and cook until heated through. Serve on toasted hoagies. Perfect fro the playoffs or anytime.
