GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) - People who do yoga in downtown Gadsden will soon have some four legged help.
Pygmy Goat Yoga will soon come to downtown Gadsden.
People in yoga positions balance the goats on their backs or their tummies.
They say the laughter it brings has healing qualities.
"It's very healing to be around such laughter," says Kayla Brooks, who will be part of the class. "It's a way to get your exercise in with those sweet little babies.”
Balancing the goat also helps with the workout.
“The goats can balance much better than a dog or a cat,” she adds. “Well, cats can balance pretty well, but they have claws, that wouldn’t be too much fun I don’t think. But I don’t know, they like to go with the flow, and that’s what yoga’s all about, right?”
The Lookout Mountain Goat Ranch has a storefront on Broad Street in downtown Gadsden. When classes start January 14, they’ll be held there.
