BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The Birmingham Iron have yet to play a single game, yet already the newest franchise in the city is winning over fans.
On Monday afternoon, Iron quarterback and former Bama standout Blake Sims and team officials visited the Kingston community and delivered food and Christmas presents to some families.
“This is what the Alliance of American Football is all about,” said Sims. “We want the community to know we are here to help when we can, and it is not for show.”
The Iron don’t play its first game until February 2019, however the franchise is making a big hit in the Magic City.
