BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - In the middle of the bustle of the election return watch party for incumbent Alabama Attorney general Steve Marshall, are two young children. Just 10 and 5 years old.
They gave up going to the fall festival at their school, to come cheer on their uncle.
“Because family is more important,” said 10-year-old Billy Marshall.
His little sister Abigail nodding by his side, her big hair bow bobbing. Their mom Brandy beams proudly behind them.
It’s been a tough year for the Marshall family, after the death of Steve Marshall’s wife Bridgette earlier this year. He has said this campaign is in honor of her, and that’s why his family is here too.
“Just to show support for our family and how we are all being blessed,” says Brandy Marshall.
