BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Before the Alabama vs. LSU football game Saturday in Baton Rouge, we caught up with Nick Saban’s wife, Miss Terry Saban, to find out how the Alabama head football coach spent his 67th birthday on October 31.
“We actually celebrated it the weekend before because of Alabama’s bye week. We went to the lake, it was rainy and cold and it was perfect because we could build a fire and do nothing. I always plan a birthday dinner and invite all of our lake friends, I think we had about 18 people there, and everyone always buys him gag gifts,” Miss Terry said.
Miss Terry would not reveal what kind of gag gifts he received, but said, “It was funny.”
They also played a singing game.
“It was a lot of fun you know because Nick cannot sing,” she added.
The Saban’s return to Tiger Stadium, a place where Saban coached at from 2000-04, is a positive experience.
“Everyone embraces us. I know the student section will boo us, but that’s part of the game, but as far as the competition, it doesn’t get much better,” Miss Terry said.
