UAB reveals Children’s Harbor patients’ names to be worn by players at homecoming

Bill Clark on new tradition of UAB wearing names of Children's Harbor patient names

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Earlier this year, UAB announced it would be partnering with Children’s Harbor again to honor the patients and families who have stayed at Children’s Harbor in Birmingham. The Blazers are continuing the tradition of wearing the names of patients on the backs of their jerseys, which started in 2017.

The Blazers will wear the names this weekend at homecoming when they take on North Texas. On Monday, UAB revealed the patient and players combinations for the game.

On Saturday the Blazers, 1st in the C-USA, host North Texas at 6:30 p.m. and will honor patients of Children’s Harbor by wearing their special gray and lime uniforms.

UAB is 9-0 at home since its return to the playing field which is tied for the fifth longest home winning streak in the nation.
