18-year-old man dies after being shot on I-65 in Homewood; police looking for suspect

HOMEWOOD, AL (WBRC) - Homewood police are looking for a suspect after a man was shot on the interstate late Tuesday night.

The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Cameron Deion Bozman.

Officers responded to the off-ramp of Interstate I-65 North and Oxmoor Road and found Bozman in a gold Toyota Solara suffering from at least one gun shot wound. He was taken to UAB Hospital where he later died.

Police are looking for a possible suspect vehicle that has been described as a black 4 door sedan. The make, model and tag number are unknown.

Anyone who may have been traveling on I-65 North Tuesday night between the Alford Avenue and Oxmoor Road exits around 11:30 p.m. that could have seen any incident involving the victim’s vehicle should call Detective Sergeant Trent Peoples at 205-332-6235 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
