PIEDMONT, AL (WBRC) - Piedmont Police have confirmed that a minor was arrested for making a bomb threat on Friday.
Authorities confirmed that police were call to Piedmont High School on Friday. The school had to be evacuated while authorities searched the building for explosives.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department searched the building with the assistance of a K-9 unit. An outside group, Vapor Wake K-9, also provided K-9 assistance in the search. The authorities gave the “All Clear” at 3:10 p.m. on Friday.
Piedmont Police confirmed that a juvenile was arrested and charged with making a terrorist threat. The juvenile has been transferred to the Coosa Valley Youth Detention Center.
