Saban ‘trying to address’ UA students lack of attendance, leaving games early

Nick Saban rants about fans leaving games early

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Alabama head coach Nick Saban aired it out Wednesday night.

It’s hard to find any complaints in Alabama’s 56-14 win against UL-Lafayette last weekend, but Saban found it.

“I can honestly say I was disappointed there weren’t more students at the last game, and I think we’re trying to address that. I don’t think they’re entitled to anything either. Me personally, I think it ought to be first come, first serve, and if they don’t want to come to the games they don’t have to come, but I’m sure there’s enough people around here that like to go to the games and we’d like for them to come too because they support the players.”

The student section against UL-Lafayette was nearly empty before the game’s conclusion. The top-ranked Crimson Tide led 28-0 after the first quarter and 49-0 at halftime. It was also Alabama’s first 11 a.m. kickoff this season.
